Article 26 Awards

Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that everyone has the right to an education and higher education should be equally accessible to all based on merit. Currently in England those seeking sanctuary/ asylum have no access to higher education funding and will find it very difficult to come to university. The University of Salford is trying to address this and is proud to be an Article 26 university by providing three scholarships a year for asylum seekers and those seeking sanctuary in the UK. If you are an asylum seeker and wish to come to university please click here for further information

Postgraduate and International Students Funding

Not all students are eligible for the government student finance package. If you are on a postgraduate course, have been to University before or are an International student you will need to find other sources of funding. If you are on a postgraduate course or have already completed an undergraduate course you can look fo support from a research council or charitable organization, sponsorship from your workplace, studentship from your University, career development loan or MBA loan, government funding for teacher training and certain medical and social work courses.
